Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection Alfred Mutua has announced a major employment drive under the Kazi Majuu initiative, Western Region Circuit, offering 8,972 overseas job opportunities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Serbia.

The recruitment, done in collaboration with licensed recruitment agencies, will run from September 19 to 23, 2025, across various Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in Western Kenya.

"This is your opportunity to work abroad, earn a competitive salary, and transform your future," Mutua said.

The vacancies span a wide range of sectors, including construction, driving, healthcare, hospitality, professional services, and security.

Among the jobs available are construction helpers, welders, electricians, heavy and light vehicle drivers, nurses, caregivers, waiters, hotel attendants, accountants, engineers, and factory workers.

To qualify, applicants must be between 21 and 45 years of age (depending on the job category), possess a valid passport with at least two years before expiry or proof of application, and have relevant experience or training in their chosen field. They must also demonstrate medical fitness and the ability to communicate in English.

Successful candidates will enjoy competitive salaries and in many cases, employers will provide accommodation, transport, and medical cover.

Mutua said that officials from the Job Mobility Secretariat, the National Employment Authority (NEA), and the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) will be present during the exercise to guide and support applicants throughout the process.

Applicants are required to bring their National ID, school certificates, passport (or proof of application), passport photos, and any relevant academic or work documents.
